Patterns
Step 1- Open up a new canvas, check the images below for the size depending what pattern you are making.
Step 2- Go to Navigator and enlarge the image as much as you can. This way you can see what your doing.
Step 3- Now go to your pencil tool, and set it to 1px and draw the patter, once again use the images below as a reference.
Step 4- Now go to Edit > Define as Pattern.. > OK.
Step 5- Go to your image, make a new blank layer above the image then change Foreground to Pattern and fill the layer.
Step 6- Now you can set the layer to overlay and change the opacity of the layer.
